Calling All Texans!

Today I am so thrilled to announce a new site. It's called "Texas Blogging Gals."

For the last week to ten days, I have been hollering out to blogging women from our great State. They have either emailed me or left a comment to let me know they were interested in connecting and getting on my list.

Several things you need to know. It will be easy to follow this blog. It will not be high stress or any work for you! It's simply a place to get networked with each other. There are no daily posts or requirements to participate. Any blogger born or located in Texas is welcome to grab the button and put it on your blog as well as pass it on to other blogging friends who live here. Think of all the friends you can make for your own personal blog. I hope we will have neighbors join with many varied interests--music, art, photography, crafting, gardening, raising children, ministry, and....the list goes on. I strongly urge you to become "followers" of each other as you know we just love getting those cute little pictures on our blogs! And remember...put the button on your sidebar.

After you have placed the button on your sidebar, leave a comment on this post letting me know so I can add you to this master list. The button will be directly linked to this post.

Then just do a shout out ever now and then to get other Texans to come on over!

Here's the first "Current Members" list.

Texas is a BIG state and that list would be way bigger than this little blogger could handle. However, please do not hesitate to send us a shout and a holler. We'd just love to hear from you and be able to follow each other on our personal blogs! I would also encourage you to get a site started for your own great state.

  82. Hi, Tara! I'm visiting from ColoradoLady's blog. I lived in Houston for 8 years, but am CT born, currently living in MA. I can't believe it's been that there hasn't been a TX bloggers group before now, what with all the great Texan pride people have. Obviously I'm no longer a Texas-Blogging Gal, but I wanted to say, "Hi!"
I run a group called New England bloggers. Since our 6 states are so small, it seemed to make sense. It's been about 14 months and we've gotten about 150 members. We've done a couple of group things to promote ourselves like a week of giveaways and a birthday party carnival on our 1 year anniversary. I also do little quizzes from time to time. I make up questions about some of the bloggers and email them out. Folks have a week to answer and get back to me. Everyone who participates is entered to win a prize. Some of our members have gotten together IRL, too.
